The name’s Paul Jahnz. I was born and raised in the midwest – Michigan City, Indiana to be exact. After graduating high school, I enlisted and served two terms in the US Air Force. I was stationed at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois for about 5 years, this is where I met Patty in 1993 – and we tied the knot there in ’96. Shortly after getting married, I was sent sent to serve at Osan Air Base in South Korea for a year, and finished the latter part of my second term at Cheyenne Mountain Air Station in beautiful Colorado Springs, Colorado.
After getting out of the Air Force in ’99, Patty and I decided to move back to the midwest and began calling Grand Rapids, Michigan our new home. Since moving to Michigan we’ve been blessed with two incredible kids, Lauren and Nathan.
I currently reside in west Michigan and am employed as an IT Infrastructure Engineer, with a background in UNIX, Linux and Windows operating systems, VMware and XenServer virtualization, Citrix XenApp, and storage technologies. I’m a recent Mac convert – produced from a short stint working for Apple out in California back in 2008.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling, spending time with my wife and kids, playing guitar & golf (although I don’t get out out on the course nearly as often as I’d like to), and have recently added photography to my list of hobbies.
